Pastazerts offers a frozen chocolate ravioli product that combines a thin layer of chocolate dough formulated from organic cocoa powder with a dark chocolate flavor with a cream cheese filling. Flavors include strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter and jelly, fig, peppermint and piña colada.
Immi, a low-carb, high-protein, plant-based instant ramen brand, has added a ramen toppings product line. The topping mix features a blend of seven vegetables: cabbage, carrot, tofu skin, champignon mushroom, chive, corn and tofu. The 13-oz product includes 70-plus servings, with 20 calories, 25 mg of sodium and 3 grams of total carbohydrates per serving.
“Ramen toppings have been a top product request from our customers and community,” said Kevin Chanthasiriphan, co-founder of immi. “We’re excited for ramen lovers everywhere to elevate their bowls.”
Absurd Snacks aims to increase snacking inclusivity with its portfolio of plant-based, nut-free snack mixes. The products are targeted as consumers seeking allergen-friendly offerings, with a formulation free from the major nine allergens and high in fiber. Absurd’s snack mixes contain a mix of fava beans, chickpeas, granola clusters and naturally sweetened dried fruit, available in flavors like maple cinnamon and rosemary sea salt.
“We wanted to create that munchy snack that you can munch on and that people feel comfortable eating on a daily basis,” said Eli Bank, co-founder of Absurd Snacks.
Asian frozen dumpling brand Laoban launched a new line of frozen bao buns. Designed as a convenient on-the-go meal solution, the buns are formulated with chicken, pork, beef and shiitake mushrooms. Available varieties range from Chinese-style barbecue pork and spicy beef to sesame chicken.
Madly Hadley brings chef-inspired flavors to the plant-based market with a lineup of vegan toppings and bacon. The brand’s vegan cashew Parmesan is a clean label blend of organic cashews, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder and Himalayan salt designed as a convenient method to add cheese flavor notes to a variety of meals. Madly Hadley’s plant-based bacon is derived from a coconut base and sunflower oil. Flavors include original, spicy cayenne and flaming habanero.
“If you’re expecting Beyond or Impossible bacon, this is not for you,” said Madelyn Hadley, founder of the company. “But if you’re trying to get the same smoky, crunchy, savory element as bacon, this is that.”
Allergen-friendly snack manufacturer Partake Foods and vegan dessert spread brand Elavi have partnered to create a limited-edition Summer S’mores kit. Featuring a gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and soy-free formulation, the kit includes Elavi’s chocolate fudge and marshmallow dessert cashew butters paired with allergen-free graham crackers from Partake Foods. The product is available exclusively through Elavi’s website for a limited time.
“By combining Elavi's indulgent dessert cashew butters with Partake’s allergen-friendly graham crackers, we are redefining the classic s’mores experience for the modern consumer,” said Michelle Razavi and Nikki Elliott, co-founders of Elavi.
Cadence has debuted a salt-based beverage for active consumers seeking to enhance their hydration routines with more sodium. The electrolyte beverage is formulated with carbonated water, lemon flavoring, lime extract, citric acid and Reb M stevia. Each 8.5-oz can includes 500 mg of sodium, 295 mg of magnesium lactate and 190 mg of potassium chloride.
JOI has developed a line of plant-based creamer concentrates and powders for consumers looking to merge convenience and clean label benefits. Derived from nuts, seeds and grains, the company’s portfolio includes oat milk powder, almond milk concentrate, cashew milk concentrate, hemp milk concentrate, coconut cream concentrate, and instant oat coffee creamer packs.
The brand’s concentrate format allows for added convenience compared to other offerings, according to the company, and both the concentrates and powders are ready within seconds by adding them to water, blending it and adding it to coffee, tea or the morning beverage of choice.
