Checkers & Rally’s is introducing the Bacon Brewhouse Mother Cruncher chicken sandwich, with a crispy chicken breast, two strips of bacon, bacon pieces, spicy pickles, crispy onions and beer cheese flavor sauce on a toasted bakery-style bun.
“Look no further if you’re ready to be blown away by our newest chicken sandwich with no equal,” said Ryan Joy, senior director of development at Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. “While the sandwich is made complete with beer cheese flavor sauce, we assure everyone it’s safe to enjoy in our drive-thru behind the wheel. The only thing you might be under the influence of is the crazy amount of flavor found in every bacon-infused bite.”
Sonic Drive-In is offering the Sour Patch Kids Slush Float for a limited time. The treat combines vanilla ice cream, Sour Patch Kids watermelon slush and Sour Patch Kids candy.
“Our Sonic fans always look forward to our summer Slush Float offerings, and this year we’re once again delivering a refreshing, craveable treat that provides an exciting new twist by incorporating the iconic Sour Patch Kids candy,” said Mackenzie Gibson, vice president of culinary and menu innovation at Sonic. “Sour Patch Kids uniquely combines sour and sweet for a satisfying candy experience, and Sonic is taking the fun further by mixing that same flavor experience with two of our summer favorites — slushes and ice cream.”
Quick-service restaurant concept Chester’s Chicken has unveiled the Honey Stung chicken sandwich and Honey Stung chicken bites, featuring marinated, double-breaded and fried chicken tossed in Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey Garlic Sauce.

The Japanese chicken broth bowl has creamy ramen pork broth with lo mein noodles, grilled chicken, carrots, napa and red cabbage and green onions. The sesame chicken dumpling broth bowl contains a chicken sesame-infused broth with chicken dumplings, lo mein noodles, carrots, napa and red cabbage and green onions. The Vietnamese steak broth bowl combines a traditional pho-style beef broth with rice noodles and steak, spinach, napa and red cabbage, green onions and cilantro.
“Menu innovation has been at the core of who we are at Noodles — we are always looking for new ways to present our guests with exciting new flavor profiles made from premium fresh ingredients,” said Nick Graff, executive chef and vice president of culinary at Noodles & Co. “We were inspired by the comforting taste and unique flavors of Asian cuisine to create our new broth bowls, and with guests already showing such affinity for the Asian options on our menu, the new broth bowls round out our beloved Asian options.”
New at Church’s Chicken is the Original Smokehouse Chicken, a half chicken that is marinated, fried and coated in a smoky glaze. The dish, inspired by Texas-style barbecue, first appeared on menus six years ago, and the recipe has since been modified.
“I was so excited to dive back into our delicious Original Smokehouse Chicken recipe and bring it back to our restaurants just in time for summer,” said Kevin Houston, chef at Church’s Chicken. “Exploring other flavor variations — such as last year’s Bourbon Black Pepper — and showcasing our innovation always pleases our guests, but I know fans will be thrilled to hear the Original Smokehouse Chicken is back on the menu once again.”
