PITTSBURGH  — Kraft Heinz Co. brand Delimex is adding quesadillas to its portfolio of frozen Mexican-style foods. The product is one of the brand’s first ventures away from its typical product line of frozen taquitos.

“Founded by Oscar Ancira Sr., a Mexican-born entrepreneur, Delimex delivers vibrant, Mexican-inspired flavors in convenient, frozen formats,” said Maryana Dluzniewski, marketing director for Delimex. “As we look to elevate Mexican-style frozen foods beyond taquitos, we’re redefining what’s possible through innovated technology. We’re taking bold steps forward to deliver crave-worthy offerings that will delight our fans.”

The new product uses Kraft Heinz’s 360CRISP technology to offer microwavable products perceived as restaurant quality, according to the company.

Each quesadilla has 18 grams of protein and is available in two flavor varieties: char-grilled chicken and chipotle chicken.

The quesadillas are available in the frozen food section of retailers for $5.99.
