GREELEY, COLO. — Local Hive, a producer of honey-based condiments, has unveiled a new line of sweet and spicy hot sauces.

The Hot Honey lineup utilizes honey sourced exclusively from beekeepers in the United States, like all products in the Local Hive portfolio, and a variety of peppers to produce several medium and hot “swicy” flavor profiles. Flavors include hatch chile with Southwest honey, mango habanero, cayenne with Southeast honey, chipotle with Texas honey, sriracha, habanero and original. Each variety contains less than 10 calories and 2 grams of sugar per serving, along with no artificial preservatives or flavors.

“Within the fast-growing hot sauce category, we found there was a demand for options that offered a sweeter taste profile,” said Cale Nelson, chief commercial officer of Local Hive. “By adding our 100% American honey blends to classic hot sauce recipes, we're able to give consumers a diverse range of sweet-heat options to fit a variety of spice preferences.”

The product line is now available exclusively at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide with a suggested retail price between $4.99 and $5.99 per 6-oz bottle. Local Hive’s Hot Honey offerings join the brand’s existing lineup of regional honey blends.
