New product introductions tap into trending consumer flavors.
Specialty coffee roaster La Colombe launched its 11-oz draft latte cans nationwide, the first new product released by the company since it was acquired by Chobani for $900 million in December 2023.
The ready-to-drink coffee cans are available in double, triple, mocha, vanilla and caramel flavors.
Kraft debuted its creamy sauces line, which features five aiolis and spreads. The line-up includes smoky hickory bacon-flavored aioli, chipotle aioli, garlic aioli, burger aioli and Buffalo-style mayonnaise dressing. This line is the first to launch after Kraft Sauces rebranded and consolidated all sauces, spreads and salad dressings under one brand.
Newman’s Own added six new products to its salad dressing and frozen pizza product lines.
New to Newman’s Own’s salad dressing line is Southwest ranch dressing, which has a smoky flavor with a kick of spice. The brand also is expanding its frozen pizza portfolio with the introduction of sourdough crust and stone-fired crust options. The thick sourdough crust pizzas are available in uncured pepperoni and ricotta, meatball and five cheese flavors, and the stone-crust pizzas are available in roasted garlic and mushroom and Italian salami flavors.
“Newman’s Own continues to raise the bar with unique and innovative products that are not only delicious, but also help make a difference for kids facing adversity,” said Nicole Malcolm-Manyara, chief marketing officer of Newman’s Own. “We are excited to introduce a new line of frozen pizzas and expand our existing lines of frozen pizzas and salad dressing to include six great tasting new products with the same great mission.”
DiGiorno, a brand from Nestle SA, added a new line of Thin & Crispy Stuffed crust pizza, which combines “the best of both types of crust,” according to the company. The line-up features three flavors: pepperoni and sausage, margherita and pepperoni with Mike’s Hot Honey.
“As the reigning experts in pizza crust, we pride ourselves on offering the best and most innovative pizzas to our loyal fans and ultimate 'za lovers,” said Kimberly Holowiak, senior brand manager for DiGiorno. “With the continued rise in thin crust as a top crust choice amongst consumers and the ongoing love of cheese, our culinary team wanted to combine the goodness of both to create a new innovation that delivers a crisp crunch with melty cheese that comes straight from your oven.”
McKee Foods expanded its Little Debbie line-up with birthday cake creme pies. The new flavor of creme pies features white icing, colorful candy confetti and filled with a birthday cake-flavored creme.
Whisps Snacks is expanding its snacking portfolio with the introduction of a new line, Whisps Popped. The Popped line, which is made with cheese, grated and baked into snacks, comes in three varieties, cheddar, Parmesan and jalapeño popper.
“At Whisps, we believe you should nourish yourself and your family with delicious and satiating snacks,” said John Ghingo, chief executive officer of Whisps. “Whisps Popped delivers on this promise by transforming 100% real cheese into a snack that's not only craveable but also delivers 10 grams of protein to keep you fueled. We have spent years focused on perfecting the art and science of baking cheese into delicious snacks. Whisps Popped is our cheesiest innovation yet, using cheese as both the core ingredients and the additional flavoring.”
Torani introduced a dragon fruit flavor to its portfolio of syrups and sauces.
“The beauty of the dragon fruit flavor is that it’s so versatile,” said Andrea Ramirez, consumer and customer market insight manager at Torani. “I would compare it to a kiwi blended with a pear — not too high in acidity or cloyingly sweet; just bright and refreshing. Café Cà Phê is even using Torani dragon fruit syrup in a coffee application, which is quite unique and will be a brand-new taste experience for many customers.”
