NAPERVILLE, ILL.  — Wenda Ingredients has launched TasteNrich HyBind PR3, an ingredient system intended to enhance the yield and texture of processed meat and poultry products. TasteNrich HyBind PR3 may be labeled as cultured dextrose, sea salt, was produced to act as a natural phosphate replacer for processed meat products, according to the company. 

CJ Bio, a business unit of CJ CheilJedang and a biotechnology company that uses fermentation to produce amino acids for savory flavors, seasoning materials and plant-based protein ingredients, will be the distributor of TasteNrich HyBind PR3.

Wenda Ingredients said TasteNrich HyBind PR3 functions in the actin-myosin myofibrillar proteins. The phosphate replacer also may help minimize purge loss, boost water holding capacity and improve texture and flavor. 

It may be used in applications including processed beef, pork and chicken.
