HENRICO, VA. — San-J, a Japanese soy sauce producer, is adding to its offerings with the launch of a seaweed tamari line. Tamarimaniac is offered in two sets: premium crafted and do-it-yourself dashi.
The premium crafted set features double-brewed tamari and seaweed tamari. The double-brewed tamari is formulated with soybeans fermented in San-J’s signature tamari. The seaweed tamari is formulated with kombu, shiitake mushrooms, and rice-koji.
The do-it-yourself tamari kit contains San-J’s tamari soy sauce and Japanese ingredients, including kombu, dried shiitake mushrooms, and takanotsume peppers.
The premium crafted set is available for $45 and the do-it-yourself tamari dashi kit may be purchased for $35. Both kits may be purchased at www.shop.san-j.com.
